NRF Junior Football (U9-U12)

Overview
The focus for this age group is team training that that focuses on skill development to encourage children to be comfortable on the ball, as well as introduce basic footballtactics and teamwork. Players will be placed into a team that trains during the week and plays against other clubs on Saturday mornings in games coordinated by Northern Region Football (NRF).
U9/U10 play 7v7 with goalkeepers on quarter-pitches for a duration of 50 minutes. Home games are played on Saturday mornings at War Memorial Park. The entrance is on Denny Avenue, Mt Roskill.
U11/U12 play 9v9 with goalkeepers on half-pitches for a duration of 55 minutes. Home games are played on Saturday mornings at Seymour Park. The entrance is on Pah Road, Royal Oak.
Girls Football
For U9 to U12 grades girls have the option of playing girls-only or mixed football in NRF competitions. If your daughter wishes to play in a girls-only team please indicate this in her registration.
Dates
The season is 18 weeks long, it starts on Saturday 5 April 2025 and will continue until the 6th of September.
Games will be scheduled for each Saturday except 19 and 26th April (Easter and School Holidays), 31 May (Kings Birthday), 21 June (Matariki), and 5 July (school holidays).
Fees
The fee for the 2025 winter season for U9-U12 grades is $175.
If you are place into an Navy Team, there will be an additional fee to covering coaching costs.
Skills Centre
Additional girls-only or mixed weekly training sessions on Monday are provided by our partner club Auckland City FC. These sessions are delivered by qualified coaches for any player wanting to improve their individual ability in football and futsal. Academy 'Navy' Teams

Team Trainings
Trainings take place at War Memorial Park throughout the week. The best car park is off Denny Ave.
