Kiwitea Football (U5-U8)

Overview

The focus for this age group is playing fun games with lots of time on the ball. 'Kiwitea kids' have one session a week at our home field on Kiwitea Street. Players are not put into formal teams in this age group and instead different groups are formed each game day. The sessions include activities to develop basic coordination and football skills, followed by small-sided football games.

Coaches

Activities on Friday nights are run by a mixture of parents, youth and senior team players. We are always looking for enthusiastic people to get on the grass and have a bit of fun with the kids. Please indicate on the registration form if you are keen to give it a go! It’s fun, easy to do, and no experience is necessary. The club will provide training, support and all the resources needed to put on the activities. You can see more information here.

Additional Training

A weekly training session is available for U7-U8 players on Wednesday afternoons through our partner club Auckland City FC. These 'Grassroots' sessions are open to anyone wanting a more structured training experience. For further information, please check out their website here or email director@academy.football.
